.tape. is Daniel Romero, from Asturias, Spain. Dani started to make music a few years ago, without any special reason, just to have fun on boring days. Dani loves the color brown, coffee, tobacco, grey days, sea, turtles and potatoes.
In 1999, he decided to start .tape., trying to convert his bedroom in a magic sound artefact; mixing folk guitars with bleeps and blops, pop melodies with bedroom noises, 8 bit sounds, child instruments, cheap keyboards and a lot of nice electronic details, in a really sweet lo.fi style with punk atitude. In 2002, Dani joined up with the Spanish lo.fi electronic collective/label Sinclair-rrr. He is also running his own mini-label: Ambulatore and collaborates in other musical projects like Calamarshape Superashtray.
